Dawn service
It was dark and cold on a Saturday morning. We were going to the dawn service. It was the day well morning of ANZAC Day. where we remember those that died for us in world war 1 and 2 . As we arrived there was a big crowed of people. Some people talked about how it was the 100 anniversary and how all the people died for us in war .

Then as we started walking down the road you could hear the band playing and the tanks going passed. As people stopped the next people did and they carried on and on. There was so many people around me that we were all touching shoulders. They talked more about the war . Then they showed this video we could not see it because there was a big tree in front of us. Mum tells me that there is going to be a big bang so that I won't get a fright. There is silent for a few seconds and then bang, bang, bang. I got a fright for the first one but then got used to it on the 2nd and 3rd.

ANZAC Day is the day were people fought and even some gave their lives up for our freedom. Heaps of people had to leave their family and if they had a farm they had to leave everything. I had a really good time for the first time at the dawn service.
